Going through my 2017 earnings, I started to get a real sense of what worked well for me last year in affiliate marketing, and what was frankly just a huge waste of my time. I think it’s really important to evaluate the return of investment on your affiliate marketing efforts so that you can focus on what’s actually working already. Ultimate Bundles is the best affiliate network for bloggers of any niche and it’s definitely what’s working for me.
I want to share it with my audience because I get asked for help with affiliate marketing so, so much and I think Ultimate Bundles is a great place for everyone to get started with affiliate marketing.
What is Ultimate Bundles?
Ultimate bundles offers collections of online resources (think ebooks, webinars, printables, etc) at a bundled discounted price. They serve a wide audience, offering bundles for topics like Business, Parenting, Fitness, Health, Home Organization, and more. They work with respectable contributors in their fields to put together a high quality bundle of products and then sell them at a considerably more affordable price.
Why should I become an Ultimate Bundles affiliate?
Besides the obvious reason behind this blog post… When you sign up to become an affiliate of Ultimate Bundles, you get 40% off every bundle you decide to purchase. You also get 40% of every sale you refer – which is definitely on the high end in affiliate sales as most companies offer anywhere from 5-30%. You even get the bundle you are promoting for free if you make 5 sales!
On a personal note, I love that they often hold giveaways for the affiliates as incentives to sell and they offer some really nice prizes. They are a fun and generous company to work with.
What makes Ultimate Bundles different from other affiliate opportunities?
There’s a real sense of community with UB – even a Facebook group where affiliates can interact with one another and talk about what’s working for them, what isn’t, and communicate with UB representatives to get answers to any pressing questions or help with making sales. They really work to go beyond a dashboard with some links and pictures for you to share.
Pardon the cliche, but it’s got a very “community over competition” vibe.
Is Ultimate Bundles a good place for a new affiliate marketer to start?
Absolutely, yes! In fact, I think it’s actually the best place you could possibly start if you are interested in learning more about the ins and outs of affiliate marketing. UB really helps you as much as they can every step of the way.
Unlike a lot of other opportunities you’ll find, they put a lot of effort into various forms of marketing collateral (Pinterest images, shareable images for social media, videos, etc) for every bundle so that you can focus more on promoting and less time fussing around in Photoshop to make nice looking graphics. They provide you with email swipe copy, tips for marketing each bundle, even webinars exclusive to UB affiliates to help guide you in making sales.
I mean… it’s practically like getting paid to learn.
Why is Ultimate Bundles working for me?
Every year, I focus on a few bundles that are available from UB that fit somewhere in my niche such as Genius Blogger Toolkit, Work from Home Superbundle (this one is evergreen!), and Ultimate Photography bundle. These bundles practically sell themselves because they are full of information my audience is looking for – at a lower price point than they are accustomed to seeing.
How many times have you see a course you want to take, but it’s “3 easy payments of $97” and you just can’t invest that much money right now for a business that isn’t even making money yet? That’s a common problem! But with Ultimate Bundles, my audience gets access to the information they need (and some they didn’t know they needed) for a steep discount. Seriously, I’m talking thousands of dollars worth of real digital products that are regularly being sold by their creators – all bundled together for 97% off.
This works for my audience because they are a lot like me – They don’t want to spend a bunch of money to get the information they need, but they also don’t want to waste a bunch of time going blog post to blog post to blog post to try to learn it.
How do you market a bundle?
Email marketing plays a large role in how I sell bundles. I am a proud ConvertKit user.
In truth, certain bundles (Genius Blogger’s Toolkit in particular) get over-shared. It actually gets to a point where people get annoyed because they are receiving dozens (seriously) of emails daily about it. It’s overwhelming for everyone interested in the entrepreneurial niche and it causes people to unsubscribe pretty quickly.
I use ConvertKit’s tagging system and provide my audience with a way to opt out of receiving further information about a bundle. It nurtures my email list and creates trust. They click on a link which tags them in my system – and they never receive an email about that bundle again.
I also see an overwhelming number of affiliates following UB’s recommended email schedule and I try to stand out by marketing to them on other days. A big key to my success has been really being on my audience’s level and being honest with them about what I’m trying to sell to them and why. I don’t use UB’s email swipe copy – I create my own emails using my authentic voice and I receive a lot of praise from my audience for this. They get tired of seeing emails with the exact same copy, and tired of receiving so. many. freaking. emails.
How much money did you make with Ultimate Bundles, really?
I don’t like income reports or when people brag about making $X amount. Instead, I will tell you that Ultimate Bundles accounted for a little less than half of my affiliate marketing earnings for 2017 – and that’s quite a significant thing given all of the other affiliate marketing opportunities I utilize.
I do wish I had participated as a contributor in Genius Blogger Toolkit – I would have made even more money. I look forward to hopefully doing that in the coming year. I believe strongly in the way Ultimate Bundles works and I’ve been really impressed with the value, so it’s something I would like to be apart of further.

Why did I see so much success with Ultimate Bundles?
I believe I was successful with Ultimate Bundles because they helped me sell it. Working with them taught me a lot about the value of planning ahead and hashing out an actual strategy before important sales dates so that I am not scrambling to do so during it… something I have taken to heart and implemented in all of my affiliate strategies since. They gave me everything I needed to be successful and they take a very hands on approach as affiliate partners rather than just sending you out into the wild armed with a link and a banner.
This is just what they do and they are as passionate about their company as I am about my own – which makes working with them pretty darn easy (and profitable!).
